About us
A farmhouse with nothing in front of it but the valley.
Podere Orsola has been farmed since 1780. We restored the house slowly, keeping the travertine walls, the chestnut beams and the handmade cotto floors, then added the things a long stay needs: five en-suite bedrooms, a kitchen built around a wood oven, a saltwater pool and fast fibre. We live at the bottom of the drive, close enough to help and far enough to leave you in peace.

FAQ
Questions answered
Why book direct instead of on Airbnb?
Booking with us directly costs about 14% less, because there are no platform service fees. You also deal with the people who live here, which means flexible arrival times, honest advice and a better room if one comes free.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancel more than eight weeks before arrival and we refund your deposit in full, minus bank fees. After that, we refund whatever we can re-let. We recommend travel insurance.
Is the pool heated?
The saltwater pool is solar-heated and open from mid-April to mid-October. It is private to the house, with sun loungers, an outdoor shower and a view straight down the valley.
Are children and dogs welcome?
Children of all ages are welcome; cots and high chairs are free. Well-behaved dogs are welcome for €15 a night. The pool is not fenced, so please supervise small children.
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is from 4 pm and check-out by 10 am. Tell us your flight and we will be flexible whenever the house is free. On high-summer Saturdays the times are fixed.
Is there good wi-fi?
Yes, fibre throughout the house at around 145 Mbps, fast enough for video calls. The network name and password are on the card by the kitchen door.
